Van der Vaart spotted in the stands during Rapid-Buducnost game

Rafael van der Vaart (39 years old), former player at Real Madrid, was, on Sunday, in the arena in Bucharest, at the handball match between Rapid and Buducnost. The Dutchman supported his fiancee, Estavana Polman, from the stands, moved this winter to Rapid.

"They did a very good job. It was a pleasure to watch the game. I know more about football, but what I saw was a very good match. I think that in June or July I will move too to Bucharest. I have another son playing in Denmark. I'm a big fan of the Rapid team. I am here for seven days. It's a great city. The people have been so nice to us. I also want to visit the football team and its new stadium, and my friend Adrian Mutu. Handball is nice, but football is in my heart, so I want to see some football too," van der Vaart told Gazeta Sporturilor.

The executive committee of the EHF forum has determined that a nation can apply to obtain two wild-cards for the Champions League.

Unfortunately, Vâlcea, which has a substantial budget next season, is a bit far from the first places. However, it would not be out of the question for Gloria Bistrița to request a wildcard in addition to Rapid. Romania will participate with 3 teams in the Champions League in the upcoming editions.

The manner of refereeing annoyed Cristina Neagu. The eliminations of Emilie Arntzen and Crina Pintea definitively cut the "wings" of the CSM, the decisions of the referees being challenged after the match by the Bucharest star. Neagu argued with the referees and offered a blunt reaction in dialogue with the journalists who interviewed her.

"I want to say that I haven't experienced this kind of theft since the last European Championship, with Montenegro. If the referees think that's how it should be done, OK, I don't think so. Congratulations Esbjerg, they are a good team, no doubt, but today we deserved to win. 7 against 9 you can't play handball!

From the beginning of the match, they whistled in one direction, effectively! They closed the match in the second half with all kinds of strange decisions, we didn't get fouls, all the balls went back to Esbjerg, everything was crowned with those two red cards, at least for Arntzen. It was whistled in one direction. You can't fight the system.

In the first leg we experienced the same situation, we didn't get any regular game foul. It's a thief in the face! We live this theft on our own ground, and I say it's a shame, we fought, we showed that we are a Final 4 team, but it's hard 7 against 9, it's hard to fight against the system", said Cristina Neagu.

It’s always the referees fault.
While i agree Arntzen didn’t deserve a red card, CSM was pure shit that missed so many shots and had shitty defense and 0% GK performance and they should start thinking about that.
The last 10 years everytime Romania or a romanian club loses it’s always because of refs. Is there a match where they can lose because they are not good enough (which in 95% of cases is the case).

Yes, Arntzen was insane...it was a 2 minute, nothing more. It was not her Day though, scoring zero, and the way she played in defense, it was Just about a question of time for the 3rd suspensjon anyway...
No, I think Esbjerg deserved going to F4 as the best team
